Jack Wilshere posts emotional social media message about leaving Arsenal after 17 years

JACK WILSHERE has posted an emotional message about leaving Arsenal on social media.

The 26-year-old confirmed he would leave the north London club, where he has played since 2001, a week ago, following talks with new boss Unai Emery, who revealed Wilshere was not part of his plans moving forward.

The post which shows a compilation of images of Wilshere in action for Arsenal over several years, was accompanied by a caption which read: "First day in 17 years not being an Arsenal player.

"Ups and downs but I enjoyed every minute of it."
Wilshere has been linked with a number of clubs with Fenerbahce reportedly the latest club vying for his signature.

Reports have also suggested Premier League sides Fulham, Crystal Palace, West Ham, Everton and Wolves are interested.

Wilshere has not ruled out a move abroad following his departure from the Emirates.
He told Sky Sports News: "I am willing to go abroad if the right opportunity comes up. Also, everyone knows I like the Premier League and the battle of it.
