MESUT OZIL and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will thrive under new Arsenal boss Unai Emery, according to Ray Parlour.
Speaking at the launch of the new Arsenal away kit, Parlour said: “I tell you who I think will have a really good season, Aubameyang.
“He’s come in late and showed he’s a natural finisher.
“I can see him being up there for top goal scorer next season, he’s that good.”
Ozil still polarises opinion amongst the Emirates faithful, the German schemer came in for some stick after signing a new £350,000-a-week contract earlier this year.
Parlour’s old Gunners team-mate Martin Keown stuck the boot in last season when he declared the 29-year-old was “not fit to wear the shirt”.
But Parlour defended Ozil:“He’s a top player, It’s a little bit unfair at time the criticism he gets.
"He’s always going to be targeted because he’s on big money but if you watch him play he’s a very claver player, so Emery might even build a team around him.”
“I think it is a very good squad on paper, it’s just about getting the right blend of attacking football and a defensive unit.
