Arsenal Star Aaron Ramsey receives new contract offer after Unai Emery intervention

Aaron Ramsey has received a fresh contract offer from Arsenal after Unai Emery informed the club he wanted to build his side around the talented Welshman, reports say.

Arsenal and Ramsey have been locked in talks for much of the season, as the midfielder’s current deal is set to expire next summer.

Ramsey has so far turned down every offer from Arsenal, but on Tuesday he hinted he wants to stay at the club after the appointment of Emery.

The Times claim Arsenal have reacted to Emery’s instructions and offered Ramsey a five-year deal which includes a significant wage increase.

Arsenal are desperate to avoid a repeat of Mesut Ozil holding the club to ransom and Alexis Sanchez exiting to join a rival.
