Arsenal will look to sign another centre-half and a central midfielder once the Gunners have completed a deal for Sokratis Papastathopoulos, according to a report in England.
The Evening Standard states that the Arsenal hierarchy believe the Gunners need to bolster their squad with a centre-half and a midfielder despite closing in on a swoop for Sokratis.
According to the same story, the Gunners want to add more depth to their squad with a central defender to help Sokratis improve Unai Emery’s defensive options.
The Spanish head coach was confirmed as Arsene Wenger’s successor earlier this month following spells in charge of Valencia, Spartak Koscow, Sevilla and Paris Saint-Germain.
The north London side struggled defensively in the 2017-18 season under Arsene Wenger to miss out on a spot in the Champions League for the second successive season.
