MOHAMED ELNENY will be available for Arsenal's next three Premier League games after having his red card against Southampton overturned.

The 25-year-old was dismissed in the closing stages of the 3-2 win against the Saints at the Emirates after appearing to push Cedric Soares in the face.

the Egyptian midfielder is now back in contention to feature under Arsene Wenger after the Gunners' successfully won their appeal against his ban.

The FA have since declared he was wrongfully sent off after an Independent Regulatory Commission cleared him of any wrongdoing.

They said: "Mohamed Elneny will be available for Arsenal’s next three games after an Independent Regulatory Commission accepted that he was wrongly dismissed for violent conduct against Southampton on Sunday, April 8, 2018."

Speaking after the win against Mark Hughes' side, Wenger said of Elneny's red card: "With Elneny I was a bit surprised that he was sent off, because he is a fair player, he is not an aggressive player.

"Has he touched the player in the face? I don’t know. If he has done it, I think it is accidental."
