Arsene Wenger has expressed his delight with Danny Welbeck’s recent form for Arsenal.
The 27-year-old has netted 10 goals and made two assists in all competitions for Wenger’s men so far this season and he will be hoping to be a regular fixture in the first team between now and the end of the season.
And Wenger has opened up about how he has been impressed with Welbeck’s fine form for Arsenal in recent months.
Speaking at a news conference after Thursday’s draw with CSKA Moscow, Wenger said: “We know how good he is and I said that many times.
“I’m happy for him. He surprises some people but he has power, he has pace, he is finishing well now and I believe he is a team player as well.
“He likes to help the team and for a striker, that’s an outstanding quality as well.”
Arsenal are currently preparing for their Premier League trip to Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon.
