Arsene Wenger has revealed that Arsenal are expecting Henrikh Mkhitaryan to be out of action for another two weeks.
the 29-year-old suffered a minor knee ligament injury during the first leg of Arsenal’s Europa League clash against CSKA Moscow last week.
Arsenal booked their place in the Europa League semi-finals with a 2-2 draw in Moscow in the return leg on Thursday night.
Speaking at his post-match news conference in Russia on Thursday night, Wenger said: “He has a medial ligament strain, he should be out for two more weeks.
“Do not be too worried. We have a very good medical staff and he is very serious in his rehab.”
Arsenal will return to Premier League action on Sunday when they travel to Newcastle United to take on Southampton.
