Aubameyang surpasses Thierry Henry and Van Persie to make Arsenal history v Stoke City

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made history on Sunday as he scored two goals in Arsenal’s 3-0 win against Stoke, as he continued his electric start to life at the Emirates.

The Gabon international, who arrived from Borussia Dortmund for a club-record £56million in January scored twice in the second half before passing up the opportunity to score a hat-trick by allowing Alexandre Lacazette to take a penalty in the dying moments of the match

He became the first Arsenal player to score five goals in his first six Premier League matches for the Gunners, having already found the net against Watford, Everton and Brighton.

Considering the quality of the likes of great strikers Thierry Henry, Robin van Persie and Dennis Bergkamp who have all shone for the north London giants, Aubameyang’s achievement should not be taken lightly.
