Gareth Southgate Deliver latest Jack Wilshare Injury Update ahead of Arsenal vs Stock City clash

GARETH SOUTHGATE expects Jack Wilshere to be fit for Arsenal this weekend.

The midfielder withdrew from the England squad on Sunday after missing Friday’s win against Holland in Amsterdam with a knee problem.

The Gunners face Stoke on Sunday at the Emirates with the Three Lions boss confident Wilshere will be fit for selection.

Southgate said: “I have no reason to believe that he won't be back for their next game.

“It is an ongoing issue which he has to manage and he wasn't going to be ready for tomorrow for us, but I'm pretty certain he will be back for Arsenal's next game.”

Despite his latest injury setback, Southgate insists it is not too late for Wilshere to book a place in his World Cup squad.
