Henrikh Mkhitaryan will miss Sunday’s Premier League fixture against Southampton after suffering a knee injury in the 4-1 victory over CSKA Moscow, Arsene Wenger has confirmed.
Mkhitaryan, who joined the Gunners from Manchester United in January, helped Arsenal take a 4-1 lead over CSKA in the Europa League before being replaced by Alex Iwobi.
‘Henrikh has a problem with his knee problem, we will assess it in the morning,’ Wenger said after his side’s dominant quarter-final first leg win.
We don’t know how bad it is but he’ll certainly be out for Sunday.’
